Rita Valentine Dog Park Improvements

Improvements to Rita Valentine are underway. Our goal is to reduce and control the impact from the population using the park and to provide the improvements that will make the park experience more enjoyable for all users.  Our plan maintains the beauty of the area.

Phase One suggestions:

  • Improve the parking area

  • Add water access and fountain - Completed July 2019

  • Improve surfaces of trails - Thanks to RMYC, the main trail was completed July 3rd, 2020

  • Add trees, bushes, and irrigation - “Chuck’s Grove” 25 Aspens added May 2020

  • Possible addition of benches and picnic tables

  • Replace and improve the information center at entrance

Phase Two suggestions:

  • Add small dog area

  • Shelter structure

  • Additional landscaping

  • Consider whether or not there is a need/desire for more fencing
